What I did
Every article on the site was audited. This led to the removal of a large number of irrelevant top-of-funnel articles that were diluting the site’s topical focus, and the addition of new articles based on keyword research. The result was a cleaner site with stronger topical authority.
I then ran an internal linking audit to improve the overall site structure, with a focus on pages buried too deep in the hierarchy. This led to the creation of new hub pages that gave those deeper pages more visibility and authority.
Metadata was updated across the site at scale using an AI-driven process, making sure title tags and meta descriptions were relevant, well-written and aligned with search intent.
The data analysis required for the monthly SEO reports was automated, including building a dynamic visibility tracker dashboard so the team could monitor performance trends over time.
Finally, I created E-E-A-T guidelines for the site: a checklist every page should meet to demonstrate credibility to Google. This included author bios, credentials, author schema markup, visible publish dates, external links to authoritative sources, reader reviews, review schema and FAQ sections.
